flickering, quick pulsing
twisting with rage
all the melting colors scream
yellow, orange, white, and blue
silencing fear
the tallow drips molten heat
golden hues, the wick burns true
vanishing away

darkness is here
extinguishes day
kills all the light
and all shades of gray
strike the matchstick
